Forbidden Rice Porridge

Have you ever heard of Forbidden Rice porridge? I was inspired years ago by @anthony.a.anderson to cook black rice with coconut milk. Since then I've added raisins, chopped apples (not available today, the kids got to them first), and spices. I like to use cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger. I soak the rice in water the day before and cook all of this with a pinch of salt and a tablespoon or so of coconut oil. My kids really like this porridge for breakfast. I use 1 1/2c rice, 3c water, hand full of raisins, pinch of salt and cook until soft. Then I add 13oz (can) of coconut milk and apples (1 or 2), spices to taste. I add the sweetener last cause I find I need less of it at the end.
