Chocolate Chip Gelato

It started out as vanilla gelato, but I didn't have vanilla. Really, I just looked for a recipe that would accommodate what I already had at home. The milk is, of course, goat milk bec it's what I have. The egg yolks were so orange they colored the whole thing to look like mango, but it's really just the yolks. My oldest daughter reminded me that we had chocolate chips, and just like that we had chocolate chip gelato. 
3c Milk
5 Egg yolks
3/4c sugar
1 vanilla bean (not used today) 
It was a hit with the troops! I'm sure they'll be happy to have me test recipes all summer long 😁.
