Hibiscus

Hibiscus is a friend indeed.
At my elementary school in Dominican Republic they had huge bushes that would flow over the wall and would get filled with flowers. My friend and I would pick the flowers and suck the nectar from the bottom of the pistil❤.
The leaves and flowers are used as a tea to improve digestion and kidney function. It is also believed to relieve coughs, liver, gallbladder problems, and hangovers. Infusions of leaves or fruits are also used to treat fevers, lower blood pressure, and improve circulation.
I like it, mostly, cause it makes a delicious iced tea. I use 1 1/2tsp per cup and sweeten with stevia, but you can feel free to sweeten it with your favorite sweetener. In our house I make it by the gal cause the kids love it so much.
